01 / THE INGREDIENT GUIDE

Inside every daily serving.

Learn what each ingredient is, why researchers are interested in it and where the evidence stands. Open the research notes to go deeper.

01

Guarana

Caffeine-containing seed extract

Guarana is a source of caffeine, the naturally occurring stimulant also found in coffee and tea. That makes caffeine intake an important part of understanding this ingredient in your daily routine.

Research & context

Human trials have tested guarana on attention and other mental tasks. Results vary by test and preparation. This does not establish a slow-release effect or a guarantee of energy without a crash.

02

Choline

Choline bitartrate

Your body uses choline to make acetylcholine, a chemical messenger involved in memory and muscle control. Choline is also a building material for cell membranes.

Research & context

These are established nutritional roles. They do not mean that taking extra choline automatically improves memory in a well-nourished adult. Choline bitartrate is a different ingredient form from citicoline.

03

Lion’s mane

Mushroom fruiting body

Lion’s mane is an edible mushroom being investigated for its relationship with cognition and mood. The BrainTik label lists the fruiting body, rather than a named standardised extract.

Research & context

A 2023 pilot trial in 41 healthy adults used 1.8 g daily for 28 days. It reported faster performance on one task after a single dose, alongside null and some negative findings. Larger studies are needed; its dose and preparation cannot be assumed equivalent to BrainTik.

04

KSM-66® ashwagandha

Ashwagandha root extract

KSM-66® is a branded ashwagandha root extract. Researchers have studied it in relation to perceived stress, an area of interest for people balancing demanding schedules.

Research & context

An eight-week trial in stressed adults studied 250 mg and 600 mg daily and reported improvements in perceived stress. Those findings concern the tested extract and doses, rather than proof of an effect from the finished BrainTik formula.

05

Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo leaf

Ginkgo leaf has a long history of use and has been investigated for memory and cognitive function. It is one of the leaf ingredients listed in the BrainTik formula.

Research & context

Evidence for improved cognitive performance in healthy people is uncertain. Many trials use particular standardised extracts; their results should not be transferred to an unspecified leaf preparation.

06

L-tyrosine

Vegan amino acid

Tyrosine is an amino acid the body uses to make catecholamine messengers, including dopamine and noradrenaline. Researchers have explored how supplemental tyrosine relates to performance during demanding tasks.

Research & context

A small multitasking trial used 150 mg per kilogram of body weight and found improvements on a working-memory task, but not across every task. This was a much larger experimental dose than should be inferred from a multi-ingredient capsule.

07

Green tea extract

With naturally occurring L-theanine

Green tea contains L-theanine, an amino acid studied both alone and alongside caffeine. The BrainTik label specifies a green tea extract containing natural L-theanine.

Research & context

A trial in 27 people tested 100 mg L-theanine with 50 mg caffeine and reported improvements on some attention tasks. It tested those specific quantities, not BrainTik, so it does not establish the same outcome for this formula.

08

Maca

Maca root powder

Maca is an Andean root used as a food and supplement ingredient. Human research has explored self-reported energy and wellbeing, rather than establishing it as a reliable memory enhancer.

Research & context

A 12-week trial tested 3 g daily of particular red or black maca extracts and reported changes in self-reported wellbeing. Root powder and these extracts are not interchangeable, and the results do not establish a benefit at BrainTik’s amount.

09

Black pepper extract

Standardised for piperine

Piperine is a compound found in black pepper. It has been investigated for effects on the absorption and metabolism of other substances.

Research & context

A human study examined piperine alongside curcumin. That is not evidence that it increases the absorption of every ingredient in BrainTik. Effects on metabolism also make medicine interactions relevant.

Bromelain

Pineapple-derived enzymes

Bromelain is a group of enzymes from pineapple that break down proteins. It is part of the ingredient list, rather than a vitamin or a mineral.

Research & context

The published evidence does not establish bromelain as a focus or memory enhancer. We describe its enzyme role rather than assign it an unsupported brain-performance claim.

02 / THE NUTRITIONAL FOUNDATIONS

The essentials, explained.

Your brain is part of a body that needs consistent nutrition. These explanations describe the normal roles of individual nutrients, rather than a promised result from taking BrainTik.

Mg

Magnesium

Magnesium oxide

Magnesium participates in energy production and the transmission of nerve signals. It is involved in many of the enzyme systems that keep the body functioning.

Research & context

Its biological role is well established. That is different from evidence that magnesium supplementation improves focus in someone with adequate intake.

Fe

Iron

Ferrous bisglycinate

Iron is needed to make haemoglobin, which carries oxygen in the blood. It also plays a role in normal growth, development and cellular function.

Research & context

Iron deficiency can affect health and performance. Extra iron is not an energy shortcut for everyone; intake should reflect individual needs.

I

Iodine

Kelp-derived iodine

Iodine is needed to make thyroid hormones. These hormones regulate metabolic activity and are important for normal brain development.

Research & context

This nutritional role does not mean that more iodine leads to sharper thinking. Excess iodine can disrupt thyroid function in susceptible people.

Zn

Zinc

Zinc citrate

Zinc supports the activity of many enzymes and contributes to DNA and protein synthesis. It is an essential trace mineral needed throughout the body.

Research & context

Its established nutritional functions do not demonstrate an immediate cognitive boost from taking additional zinc.

C

Vitamin C

Ascorbic acid

Vitamin C is an antioxidant and a cofactor in the production of certain neurotransmitters. It also helps the body absorb non-haem iron from food.

Research & context

These are normal nutritional roles, rather than proof of improved focus from this supplement.

D3

Vitamin D3

Vegan, lichen-derived vitamin D3

Vitamin D helps regulate calcium and phosphate and is important for bones, muscles and immune function. The BrainTik label lists a vegan D3 source from lichen.

Research & context

Vitamin D has been investigated in relation to brain health, but a routine cognitive-performance benefit from supplementation is not established.

B1

Vitamin B1

Thiamin

Thiamin helps enzymes involved in energy metabolism. It is important for the normal function of cells, including those in the nervous system.

Research & context

A sufficient intake supports normal nutrition. More thiamin does not automatically mean more mental energy.

B3

Vitamin B3

Nicotinamide

Niacin is used to form NAD and NADP, molecules involved in the reactions that turn nutrients into usable energy. Nicotinamide is the form listed in BrainTik.

Research & context

Energy metabolism is a normal biological process; it should not be confused with a stimulant effect or a promised increase in productivity.

B5

Vitamin B5

Calcium pantothenate

Pantothenic acid is used to make coenzyme A, which is central to energy metabolism and the synthesis of essential compounds in the body.

Research & context

Its nutritional role is well established. Product-specific benefit claims depend on the actual nutrient amount and the applicable conditions of use.

B6

Vitamin B6

Pyridoxine

Vitamin B6 helps the body metabolise amino acids and produce neurotransmitters. It also has roles in haemoglobin formation and immune function.

Research & context

These roles do not mean that higher doses create better performance. Total intake from overlapping supplements matters.

B9

Folate

Vitamin B9

Folate is involved in DNA synthesis, cell division and one-carbon metabolism. It contributes to the basic processes that keep cells working.

Research & context

Evidence for a cognitive benefit from additional folate varies with nutritional status and the population studied. It should not be presented as a universal memory enhancer.

04 / UNDERSTAND THE DETAILS

Good questions deserve clear answers.

Ingredient research has context.

The linked studies and factsheets explain individual ingredients. They are not clinical trials of BrainTik. Dose, extract, study population and duration can change the findings; a biological role is not proof that extra supplementation improves performance.

The complete label comes first.

Ingredient identities are based on the supplied BrainTik label. Final per-serving amounts, nutrient reference values, total caffeine, directions and warnings will be shown before ordering opens.

And the capsule itself?

HPMC is the plant-derived capsule material listed on the label. It holds the ingredients together in a vegan capsule; we do not present it as a cognitive active.

Food supplement. Not a substitute for a varied, balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle.
